Frequently Asked Questions
Which gateways are ZenID compatible with?
ZenIDs are compatible with ZenCAM Plus, ZenTRACK, Geotab GO9, and many others. However, only ZenCAM Plus allows for automatic driver identification, in addition to automatic connection/disconnection.
Can ZenID be customized for specific use cases?
Yes, ZenID can be configured for a variety of use cases such as driver identification, attendance tracking, or as a panic button, tailored to your organization’s needs. For assistance on any custom configurations, please contact us.
How does ZenID handle multiple drivers?
In the case of multiple drivers, they will need to manually press the button every time it’s their turn to drive. With ZenCAM Plus, it will automatically assign a driver until it detects multiple– then it will await a manual comfirmation from the driver.
Is there a limit to how many ZenID devices can be used simultaneously?
The limit on the number of beacons in general varies depending on the gateway being used. For example, ZenCAM Plus allows for a total of 80 beacons at a time. However, we recommend using a lower number of beacons per gateway to ensure the most accurate and consistent data.
